Bite The Bullet And Help Someone Get Ahead!

In our job there are times we need help from each other. An ear to listen, a program we don't get, a house we can't get a good enough CMA on and just trusting each other for good ole wholesome advice. Why do some Realtors, as well as people in general, not want to learn more. Are we afraid we will look stupid to another colleague or are we just too proud to express we don't know. No one knows it all and I can tell you I still have plenty to learn. Not just in Real Estate but in my life. I know you can relate.

 
This morning when I was getting ready for work, I heard this, thump, thump, thump, thump. I turned around and nothing. Again, thump, thump, thump, thump. What the heck? Finally,thump, thump, thump, thump and behind me was Izzy. She was twirling like a top when I saw her. She was trying to tell me something and I was thinking, oh no not the 'P' thing again. I said to her, "come on let's go. She followed strangely real close on my heels and I encouraged her again. "Come on, Izzy, what's the matter?" We came around the corner and Bobo jumped out at us with his big toy squirrel hanging out of his mouth.

I literally saw Izzy, jerk her body like you would when your scared. Believe me, Bobo caught us both off guard. I headed toward the kitchen and Bobo, was lurking on the couch arm rest, watching me as I headed toward the kitchen pantry. Izzy, stood in front of me, twirling like a top. It was vitamin time for them. I grabbed the bottle and yelled, "guns a blazing!" Bobo leaped off the couch and they were both doing the vitamin dance. One is twirling and the other is jumping up and down. "I say sit." Boom down they go. They have learned, if they sit and stop their excitement, they get to bite the bullet. The vitamin bullet that is.

Isn't that what we should do with each other. Just bite the bullet. Let's let go of our inhibitions and open ourselves up more to learn from each other. Helping each other, in any way we can, will help us to grow in our own lives as a better person. What are you afraid of? Do you think someone is going to actually learn something and get ahead of you. I hope they do get ahead. Isn't that what we want to be known for? I would rather be known as someone helping, than always someone taking, to get ahead for themselves. You will be more respected and trusted. Don't you want your clients, friends, colleagues and family to see you in that way. Someone who can be trusted, and honest with others, will always be respected by all. That's the way to get ahead! Bite the bullet and help someone get ahead.
