No Yelpers Need Helpers!

"Awoooooo......Wooh .....Bff......"Add Image

"Arf, Come on now Bobo. All you have been doing is yelping around when you could do something like our last sibdoglings did. Our older sisters, Baby and Erin Armstrong, used to always give back. Did you know they were volunteers for Hospice of Palm Beach County?"

"Wow, I never knew that? How did you find out?"

"Well, When we were sniffing around in Mom's home office I saw one of the drawers were slid slightly ajar. I took my paw and pulled it out and popped this plastic card with a photo on it. Written on the card was, Baby Armstrong, Volunteer. I started to really whale, some ocean sized tears, just knowing a piece of our past. Especially when I found out what Baby did."

"Wow, you mentioned Erin, did she Volunteer too?"

"Apparently, Erin was really the one that got noticed the most. She would be told to pray and put her paws together and it was said she really looked like an Angel. It was so awesome that even the sickest of sick would barely lift up their heads to see her do that. The ones that couldn't lift up were helped by the nurses or family members that were there. What a blessing that must have been for the staff as well, as I'm sure it was for all who were there, in Hospice, at that time."
"Were they able to go anywhere they wanted?"

"You bet, but if a patient had allergies both of them were told your Not so favorite saying."

"I know it well, NO DOGS ALLOWED."

"Yep. So, Bobo, when you start yelping think about helping. Get your thoughts off your own troubles and think about what you can do in your life to make a dogifference."

"Thanks, Izzy for getting me off my cry. I am going to give that a lot of thought from now on. Wow, I'm so proud to know our past siblings did something good with their doggone lives. I want to do something with mine."

"Yes, Bobo, me too."

"Do you or anyone you know ever thought about Volunteering your time in the community? Hospice of Palm Beach County is just one more way to make a difference in people's lives. There is hardly a person alive that doesn't know about Hospice and what they have done for a persons family, neighbors and or friends. You should go to their link and see why Hospice of P.B.C. is the best place to help you with a family member, by adding the dignity they deserve when they are at the end of their lives."

Their Vision: To create a world where everyone receives great service at the end of life and no one is afraid of dying.
