We Honor Them!

Today is a day of remembering those who served our country and gave their lives so we wouldn't have to. I know my dad was a true Veteran. He definitely served his country as a First Sergeant Major, with a troop of, well we're not really sure how many men. All we were ever told was he served in the Korean and the German War. Was missing in action for 1 year and 1/2 in the German War and came back to my Mom's arms, weighing only 97 lbs. when he returned. He never spoke much about anything to us about what happened. All we know is, he was given the purple heart and life went on in silence about his experiences. He Obviously loved his country and served with great pride and honor. That's the way men were suppose to be especially a true soldier.
I know when he died I felt blessed to have been what is known as a military brat. That has always made me, my sister Linda, and I am sure my brothers, Leo and Lee feel the same way, pride. All I can say is thanks to all the veterans who have served our country and have lived and not lost but gained a forever respect in our hearts from us all. We honor them! Please remember the moment of silence at 3:00 p.m. today. God bless our Veterans.....
