We Were Totally Dogged!

Have you ever felt like you were left out of something or alone. Be it a party invitation, wedding or worse, your own family reunion because of some hostilities in the family. Well that's how my partner and sister, Linda and I felt yesterday. What made it worse is, we got the invitation to come.
Being in Real Estate, we get alot of invitations to just about every new or updated community in town. We even had a Buyer that was interested in the place. we showed up and were promptly greeted by the guard at the gate and cordially told where we were to drive the car for valet. Here we are waiting in the car for someone to come out and no one comes. After 5 minutes, I go inside in a stunning lobby with a massive wall of water flowing from the ceiling. I would have felt more wowed if I could have found the valet or any one for that matter. Walking the hallways I finally see someone who gives that look of who are you and why are you here. We show him the invite and our real estate cards. It was like so what, go to the elevator and see the model on the 10th floor someone will be there. Guess what? We are on the 10th floor looking at a 2 1/2 million $$$$ model and no one is there. Looked beautiful but without someone to meet us it seemed empty and cold.
My partner found a card and called a sales rep who gave us a code to meet him on the 3rd floor to another model and no apologies for not being there to initially meet us in the first place. We head down the elevator to an amenities floor with an exercise and massive theatre room. Still no sales person and we're alone. Linda calls again and he says he was looking for us on the 3rd. floor and to meet him on the 9th floor with the code to get us there. Looking for us? He never showed up period. We get on the elevator, put in code, door shuts and we never move from there. Oh no, stuck on the 3rd. floor and we can't get out. What makes this very bad is Linda is claustrophobic and has been since she can remember. You can imagine when the panic sets in and I need to stay calm while all along, I am erupting inside from the no class, high class, nothing of this place. Worse case scenario, cell doesn't work on elevator, code doesn't work and we end up using security phone talking with someone that doesn't even know what building we're in. My poor partner, is shaking and just about ready to lose her legs when we finally get the elevator moving to the 1st floor and door finally opens. We dart out of elevator and say we want our car and out of heeeeeeere. Whew, we never even got to see the model we came to look at in the first place and we felt we were totally dogged.
