Our Team, Lois , Linda and Joe went on a one day field trip with our fellow colleagues, to see some good history in Jupiter, Florida. It was something put together for Realtors. It's amazing how much we and other Realtors, that were with us, didn't know about our history. We have a stand up bar, called Ralph's Bar, located on Center Street, that used to be our local Post Office. We also went west of town to the Loxahatchee park that had a weeping Willow tree and beautiful scenery. Alot of history came from the park and we all received a history lesson from one of the speakers that wrote a published book called Guns across the Loxahatchee by Richard J. Procyk. He worked with other local teams that unearthed history at the site of the battle on the Loxahatchee river. There is so much more he talked about but we couldn't remember it all. If you have any interest, I would say go to hear him speak at Riverbend Park. The book can be bought at a few locations but I do know the Jupiter Lighthouse gift shop has it. I am sure there are other locations. One thing really stood out for me and that was the Jupiter Lighthouse. I took a picture of a gorgeous water view that I use as a background on my computer. If you look at the picture, on the top of the page, you will see why it was the highlight of my day. The water looks so calming and fits the mood of the way the trip went. If you ever get an opportunity to see the Jupiter Lighthouse you won't believe how much is there to see. Anyone can go there and take their children etc. Sorry, but your pets will have to stay at home.
