1 Hot Ticket, I'd Say!

We people tend to love the excitement of winning something. Most of us get caught up in the thrill of it all and then the adrenaline kicks in over the excitement when we win. I know I always wanted to go to London, England all of my life. I went with a friend, to a major tennis match years ago, that had these booths where you could put in a free ticket. They were at Harvey Bristol Cream stands in the park. I walked up and filled out 1 ticket. I looked at the girl that took my ticket and looked up to the heavens and said; "Please God, the one thing I have always wanted to do my whole life is to go to London, England," and proceeded to drop the ticket in the box. She looked me right in the eyes and said; "I hope you win." I walked away to join my friend back at the tennis match. Two weeks later there was a knock at my door. Two people were standing there and I almost didn't open the door if you know what I mean. I did open it finally and to my surprise they said; "you have just won the Wimbledon Sweepstakes." Here are 2 tickets to fly over on British Airways to London England, 2 days on center court at the Wimbledon tennis match and 3 day stay at Hyde Park hotel." I fell backwards in my chair and was totally numb. "Wow, I have never won anything in my entire life especially anything like this."
I know you are going to hate to hear me say this but all I could think about was I only put in 1 ticket. Okay, I have said it but it's true. You always hear about the person that wins the big one always seems to be the one that bought 1 ticket. I didn't even buy mine. It was a free fill in ticket.
Like I said I had always wanted to go to London and I went and didn't even show up for the tennis matches. I told them at the sweepstakes don't expect me sitting watching a tennis match when I have always wanted to go to London, England. They had to accept that and I proceeded to have the time of my life going all over the place. I took a friend with me, that didn't care about the tennis match either and off we went, first class on British Airways. Wow, what a treat! I was able to get money for my center court tickets, which I found out later, it can take 10 years to reserve a seat at Wimbledon. I wonder what people were sitting there when they announced the winner of the Wimbledon Sweepstakes. 1 hot ticket, I'd say!
