Truth Be Told!

Do you ever feel like you want to get something resolved with someone and find they or the situation is not going to go away no matter what you do? My mom and dad always brought us up to tell the truth. It's how the truth gets told as to whether the person you try to get that situation resolved with acts back to you. I know there are those that never want to get things resolved. They would rather carry that heavy negative weight, which I call baggage, around all the time. What a shame. Get real people. Life is too short not to talk to a brother for 30 years, or haven't seen a mom for 25 years, or they just remember all the bad memories and don't know how to make them positive ones. Not to get along with someone you work with , need I go on. Bobo and Izzy would never feel that way about each other or anyone. They are sooooooo close and you can hardly pull them apart. See them having a great time playing and knowing they have each other. Wouldn't it be great if we could learn from them how to be close. Our dogs can teach us to be more caring and honest by just watching how they interact with each other. That's why I've always used Bobo and Izzy in my Blogs as they have a way to keep us together.
I guess we can say we have seen truth get twisted around and have falsified information before we realize we really aren't telling the truth at all. A white lie is the most common one. It can be difficult to to tell the truth but it's better than lying and never getting that baggage on it's way. Just be straightforward about the situation and most people will find your candor to be a breath of fresh air, believe me. Never be ashamed to let someone know the truth.
A Coldwell Banker Real Estate story that happened....It took all we had to be perfectly honest about a rental situation our Team had to go through. These very nice people had to repaint, get odor dealt with, clean their place again and steam clean the carpets by a professional too. It cost them close to $5000 to get things back the way things should look. We felt really bad they had to deal with all this but being honest with them throughout the process is what they told us later helped them get through it all. What a blessing! They actually took me out for dinner and brought a lovely gift when they came to see the place. It was like our Team was more important than the $$'s they were spending to put this place back in shape. Truth be told, the Tenant never did do what he promised, but our Team, was able to work together in getting some money back for the Owners. We have it up for rent again and it shows like a model and just received an offer on it that looks very good for them. Never hesitate to let the truth be told.
