I remember this day. I was at home, sitting in the back yard with Bobo and Izzy. They were playing with a stick they found and were having a great time. It's not who wants the stick but who can get it away from the other.My yard is totally fenced. It's nice not have to worry so much about anyone getting away. Still, on this day, Bobo and Izzy were leaping up and down real fast about something in the yard. I walked over to see what all the commotion was about and saw something very thin slither in the ground. I looked it up online and thank God, it was, only an earth snake. They are harmless but it made me feel scared and afraid for my little friends.
Please make sure you keep your yard a safe one for your pets. Keep poison off the grass when you know the dogs are going to be on it. Watch out for ant piles they can get at. Frog droppings are another thing to watch for. The rule of the yard......... keep dogs away from frogs. My sisters dog, Bindy, got a hold of a frog once. Linda saw white foam bubbling out Bindy's mouth. She put a hose in her mouth and kept her head forward as she hosed out the poison that could have ended Bindy's life. Lucky for Bindy, Linda knew what to do.
You want to have a safe environment for your pets inside and out. You have to make sure things are picked up in your house and the yard. You will have many more years of pure joy knowing your pets are alive, safe and happy.
